Yoga en Portage/ Babywearing Yoga
Exclusive in Montreal to Espace Shanti, Babywearing Yoga is the perfect weight-bearing exercise. With baby in a properly-fitted ergonomic baby carrier, parents (papas are very welcome!) will be led through a series of safe and effective asanas as well as mantras, breathing techniques and maybe even a little dancing! Carriers will be provided to those who do not have one or would like to try a different sort. Babywearing yoga takes place at Espace Shanti Tuesdays -10:00-11:15. Bilingual.

Classes to start Thursdays at Amuza.

A trained birth doula, Jenny was pregnant twice and took weekly classes with AcroYogaMontreal’s Jill Campbell and Yin Yogini Leah Vineberg throughout pregnancy. Her prenatal classes are focused on breath, connecting with baby, mantras, and follow weekly themes that will carry mamas through to an empowered birthing experience. Classes are at Happy Tree Yoga and Studio Vie.

Jenny believes Yin Yoga can benefit everyone. Postures are mostly done on the mat and held for at least three minutes, allowing us to access the connective tissues, releasing tension, emotions and even toxins. We live in a Yang society. Come balance things out Mondays, 6pm at Espace Shanti. Bilingual.

Jenny, who is currently studying to be a Yoga Therapist with Re:Source Yoga is also available for private sessions for adults and children. Call 514.318.4566 for more details or email

These classes will expose your kids to the exciting world of yoga. Perhaps they’ve practiced at home with you or maybe it’s the first time they will sit on a yoga mat. While yoga is something we take very seriously, we also believe we can have a lot of fun doing it. At the end of the day, we learn best if we’re actually enjoying ourselves. While we do traditional poses like Tree, Downward dog and cat, we also go on jungle adventures. Be prepared to have fun!
